    Well I Got Ps3 Component Cables…I Hooked It Up To My Tv, But The Problem Is, It Displays Black and White,My Ps3 Works Fine..Can Some1 Plz Tell Me How To Adjust The Settings To Display In Color….

    just bought a blu ray player. everything is ok , but the hdmi wont even work! obvious signal getting through there , but black screen. i am stumped!

    @IAmCjcj11 – Yes you can use a high grade component video cable which will carry a HD signal in analog directly to the TV or via an A/v receiver’s video inputs and outputs.

    I have a component cable box for my HDTV. Should I go through the trouble of trading it in for a HDMI box to try and get a better picture? I have a Philips 42″ tv.

    Is your cable box an HD model ? If your cable box does not offer an HDMI output jack it is most likely not one. Upgrading to an HD cable box model will increase the resolution of the video signal going to your HD TV (from 480i to 720p or 1080i). Your will benefit from a better picture if your Philips TV is an HD model capable to display the higher resolution 1080i or/and 720p.

    ok i got a 26” lg tv and i plan on using it for my xbox. However i have the xbox Arcade so i dont have a hdmi port. Would it be worth it to upgrade my console and get an elite so i have a hdmi port or should i just stick with the component
