Your Questions About Home Theater Systems Wireless

Sandra asks…
Questions about making the speakers on a home theater system wireless or if it’s even necessary?
See I’m looking at buying a Panasonic – 1000W 5.1-Ch. Blu-ray Home Theater System Model #:SC-BT330 And I was just wondering what I would have to buy to make the rear speakers wireless. Is it really even necessary? How long are the cords for the speakers? And how would I connect them to the system without having wires hanging all over my living room? Thanks ahead of time!

Jack answers:
Best Buy sells this wireless set for speakers that works with most standard speakers and receivers.
The set consists of a transmitter and receiver. The transmitter connects to your home theater system instead of the rear speakers.
You then connect the rear speakers to the wireless receiver in the back of your room. That’s it, really. When the home theater system is on, the transmitter will establish a link to the wireless receiver in the back of the room and send the signal back to your speakers.
If your speakers aren’t the stupid type that have the wires connected inside the casing, you can easily use any sort of speaker wire, in case you wanted something longer or shorter, for instance. Generally though, those “home theater in a box” kits only give you 6 to 10 feet of wire for the rear speakers. Again, not a problem if you’re using a wireless transmitter kit for the rear speakers. I wouldn’t bother with a wireless kit for the front speakers. There’s no point.

You can use the WAHT-SA10 Wireless Surround Speaker Unit to get the audio signals to the back of the room. Performance is …. Okay….
You would be better off to find a way to get the wires back there. Like through the attic or under the baseboard around the room. Getting wire to the front speakers and monitor is pretty easy if the electronics are located on the same wall.

How to make Samsung home theater system wireless?
I ordered a Samsung HT-Z310 home theater system from Adorama.com and it works great, but it’s just not wireless. It was described as being “wireless ready.” I’m obviously not very technilogically savvy so I don’t know how to make this system wireless. Any help is appreciated

Jack answers:
You need 1 of these for each 2- speakers you want wireless ( not subwoofer)

It tells you in your owners manual under conectivity where it explains about hooking up a wireless module(pg.55-60)?

Donald asks…
What wireless home theater system should I choose?
Hi
I am looking for a wireless home theater system as I dont like cables that much. I have no idea if the sound in the wireless home theater system will be weaker because it will be wireless. I just want somekind of wireless home theater system that is wireless somehow or have some wireless features.
If there is some other wireless home theater system that is not wireless but have long/thin cables then that would be also be nice I guess. Thanks for the help

Jack answers:
In my opinion there are two wireless home theater system you can choose between. Both have awesome sound quality. The links to both of them are below.
The first one is a wireless home theater system that my friend also has. It has some wireless abilities and he is just so happy for them. In his own words: “Everything is just so much more fun with these speakers”.
The second one is system that I bought a couple of month ago. They are nothing less than awesome.
They have a 5.1 system and is a perfect companion for your movies and games. So its kind of up to you. Hope this helped.

Susan asks…
Can you recommend a wireless home theater system?
I am looking for a wireless Home theater system – not necessarily entirely wireless, but I want to be able to listen to music in couple of rooms at the same time without having to use wires to those rooms. Looking within the $350-$500 range. Can any of you recommend a good Home theater system in this price range? Please give me the model number or names. Thanks.

Jack answers:
Some HTS provide a wireless output for the two rear speakers, to avoid long cables, since they are placed far from the A/V receiver.
I’m not aware of a 5.1 system that is wireless for its five+1 speakers.
A company called Terk (owned by Audiovox) makes transmitters for what you need.
