Home Stereo Speakers - 3 Different
Types
Home stereo speakers haven't been the focus of this site until
now, but whether you expect recording-studio-quality from listening to your cd's or a realistic theater experience
with your home theater, you still want and expect the sound to be awesome, right?
For your home stereo speakers, and that includes: book shelf speakers, floorstanding speakers (or tower
speakers) and sub woofer speakers (or subwoofers) I recommend the following excellent speakers...
Floorstanding Speakers: Floorstanding speakers are your two main stereo speakers. They are
usually placed at least 6 feet apart. These are also known as Tower Speakers. If your room isn't that large then
you can use bookshelf speakers instead.
Bookshelf Speakers: Again, these would probably be your two main stereo speakers if you don't
have the room for tower speakers. These can be placed on the floor, on speaker stands,
or wall mounted.
Sub Woofer Speakers: Sub woofer speakers deliver the deep bass that enable you to actually feel
your music. Most rooms require only one subwoofer. You would probably want 2 subwoofers in a really large room.
